Job summary

Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, part of the University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a part-time RN or LPN for the Memory Care Unit in Middlebury, VT. The role offers 8 hours per week on day shift with rotating weekends, focused on compassionate resident-centered care.

Ideal candidates are experienced, adaptable, and committed to quality of life for older adults. This position provides meaningful care opportunities within a supportive nursing team.

Qualifications

• Current Vermont RN license or eligibility for Vermont licensure.
• Current Vermont LPN license or eligibility for Vermont licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to residents living with memory loss and cognitive impairment.
• Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Support resident safety, comfort, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with nursing assistants, providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate effectively with families and care team members.
• Promote a calm, resident-centered environment.
• Advocate for residents while maintaining dignity and respect in every interaction.
