A leading senior living company seeks a dedicated professional to oversee dementia care programs. You will lead caregivers, ensure person-centered care, and collaborate with the leadership team. You will oversee the full implementation of the resident and family engagement programs within the dementia care community, as well as directly coaching and leading caregivers. This includes ensuring Care Associates deliver person-centered programming, dining, and care. You will collaborate with the leadership team to provide dementia training, oversee the preadmission/move-in/move-out processes, participate in hiring, and educate associates on dementia care, including leading programs and interventions for behavioral expressions.
You will plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident. A Bachelor’s Degree in gerontology, therapeutic recreation, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of management and supervision experience, is preferred. Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
