Job summary

Manorlakean in Athens, GA seeks a Memory Care Coordinator to lead the Memory Care Program, ensuring compassionate, person-centered care for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia. You will oversee staff, develop policies, and coordinate with families to maintain wellbeing and quality of life.

The role requires RN licensure or equivalent, memory care experience, and strong supervisory/communication skills to support a high-quality care environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Background screening required by law.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, schedule, supervise, train, and retain Memory Care staff.
• Develop and update written care policies with the Executive Director/Nurse.
• Lead quality improvement and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Orientation, dementia-specific education, and ongoing competency development for staff.
• Maintain a therapeutic, person-centered Memory Care program and meaningful activities.
• Oversee volunteers and engagement initiatives; participate in admissions conversations.
• Collaborate on individualized care plans and coordinate with Sales and Resident Care.
• Serve as liaison with residents' families and support Sales/Marketing in visits.
• Lead Department head meetings and act as Manager on Duty on weekends/holidays.
• Provide emergency leadership and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
