Job summary

Genesis Administrative Services LLC seeks a Memory Care Director for the Albuquerque Heights team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining a comprehensive dementia program that nurtures residents' physical, social, cultural, spiritual, and intellectual needs, while guiding staff and managing the unit's budget.

You will assess residents, craft engaging activities, and collaborate with external partners to enrich programming, all within a collaborative care environment in Albuquerque

Qualifications

• Three years of direct experience with dementia, patients who have dementia, and/or their families and caregivers is required.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a health care setting is required.
• Recommended state licensure and state requirements for this position must be met.
• Clinical knowledge of dementia care, leadership abilities, and marketing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a dementia program that addresses physical, social, cultural, spiritual, and intellectual needs of patients.
• Assess each patient and design programming to maximize abilities and self-esteem; perform ongoing quality improvement evaluations.
• Engage outside resources to supplement activity programs (e.g., entertainment, intergenerational programming).
• Directly and indirectly supervise all staff assigned to the Dementia Program unit.
• Responsible for the financial performance and budget of the Dementia Program unit.
• Educate families through support groups, family council, and other methods.

• *Graduate of an accredited college or university with a bachelor's or master's degree in social work, nursing, therapeutic recreation, psychology, gerontology, or another related field is preferred.
