Responsibilities

• Assist the director in developing, implementing, and overseeing therapeutic recreation programs for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess residents' needs and preferences.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the therapeutic recreation team.
• Organize and facilitate activities that promote entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression, addressing residents' psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Create an inclusive environment that encourages resident participation.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
• Support families of residents with physical, emotional, and cognitive impairments in exploring hobbies and leisure activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field (preferred).
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential (preferred).
• Experience in developing and leading recreational programs.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate approach to working with seniors.
• Creative mindset and ability to collaborate with residents, families, and team members.
