Job summary

Walnut Village Retirement Community is seeking a Memory Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and to promote safety, comfort and autonomy on the night shift. This full-time, hourly role runs Tuesday–Saturday from 10:30 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., with Sunday and Monday off. You will assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, and transfers, provide housekeeping support, and help maintain a clean, homelike environment while documenting resident information and

Qualifications

• Must meet state regulatory requirements for caregiving.
• Experience in long-term care and geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to residents and families.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility, incontinence care, transfers.
• Wash resident laundry, make beds, perform routine housekeeping.
• May prepare and/or serve meals.
• Facilitate programs to engage memory care residents and promote autonomy.
• Maintain a safe, homelike environment and ensure residents feel safe and purposeful.
• Maintain logs with vital information and report conditions to the Charge Nurse.
