Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group seeks a Memory Care Neighborhood Coordinator Assistant in Clarksville, VA to lead dementia-capable care within the Memory Care Neighborhood. You will engage residents, support behavior initiatives, mentor staff, and oversee structured cognitive and life-enrichment activities.

The role ensures safe, person-centered care for residents with dementia, under the guidance of the Memory Care Coordinator. CNA certification required; two years in memory care preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/STNA certification required in the state of operation.
• Dementia Practitioner Certification preferred or obtainable within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years’ experience in long-term care, memory care, or dementia-focused programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model dementia-capable care in Memory Care Neighborhood.
• Provide direct resident engagement and behavioral support.
• Mentor staff and oversee cognitive, sensory, and life enrichment activities.
• Ensure person-centered, safe, therapeutic care for residents living with dementia.

Position Summary:

The Memory Care Neighborhood Coordinator Assistant is responsible for leading and modeling dementia-capable care within the Memory Care Neighborhood following plans put in place by the Memory Care Coordinator (MCC). This role provides direct resident engagement, behavioral support, staff mentoring, and oversight of structured cognitive, sensory, and life enrichment programming. The Coordinator Assistant will help ensure person-centered, safe, and therapeutic care practices for residents living with dementia.

Education/Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Nurse Aide (CNA/STNA) certification is required in the state in which you operate

• Dementia Practitioner Certification preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in long-term care, memory care, or dementia-focused programming.

Shift & Wage:

• Part-Time Opportunity Available

• Shift Needed: Monday - Friday, Weekends

• Wage: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
