Franklin Manor Assisted Living Center in Youngsville, NC, seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to coordinate dementia programming and support residents with dementia.

You’ll collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and oversee cognitive wellness activities, with a focus on emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well-being. Eligible for growth, CEUs, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) preferred.
• Current or potential Dementia Practitioner certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum of two years of experience in long-term care or memory care programming as a COTA or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive dementia care and support.
• Plan, organize, implement, and oversee specialized dementia programming.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to coordinate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and support for residents with dementia and/or dementia-related conditions. You will plan, organize, implement, and oversee specialized dementia programming that aligns with best practices in cognitive wellness. This position supports the overall goals of enhancing the emotional, cognitive, physical, and social well‑being of each resident through structured, individualized, and compassionate programming.

Education/Qualifications:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) preferred. May consider Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or a related field.

• Current certification as a Dementia Practitioner preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in long-term care or memory care programming as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or other discipline as noted above.

Shift & Wage:

• Full-Time Opportunity Available

• Shift Needed: Monday - Friday, Days

• Wage: Negotiable
