Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician in our Memory Care program in California. The position supports administration of medications and direct personal care, helping residents stay engaged and safe.

Role requires coordination with pharmacy and physicians, and maintaining accurate care records. We offer full-time/part-time shifts, health benefits, and employee recognition within a nurse-supportive team.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• State regulation may require training/certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal interaction with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening incl. TB tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
