Job summary

Pacific Grove is seeking a Med Room Manager in Memory Care to coordinate resident care and oversee medication-related processes in a supportive memory care environment. The role emphasizes professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork within a compliant care setting.

The candidate will document daily communications, review orders, supervise transcription and medication passes, and liaise with outside providers to ensure coordinated care for residents requiring memory care services.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize and apply basic management skills.
• Provides and coordinates resident care utilizing the principles of assisted living per the rules of the state where employed.
• Maintains adequate attendance record, notifies supervisor if late or unable to work in accordance with personnel policies.
• Requires minimal supervision, is a self-starter and flexible.
• Organizes and utilizes time appropriately, sets priorities and accomplishes assigned tasks.
• Displays mature behavior in attitude, speech and action.
• Keeps resident information confidential, respects resident’s rights, respects privacy and the right to self-determination by the residents.
• Works cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and documents daily in the communication log as appropriate.
• Reviews new orders and MAR as directed.
• Supervises and reviews the transcription process, medication and equipment ordering, pharmacy cycle fill.
• Performs resident care coordination and communication with outside agencies and medical providers.
• Reviews alert charting as directed.
• Reviews incident reports as needed and completes investigations.
• Reviews cleanliness and organization of medication room.
• Reviews, supervises and assists with resident care as needed.
• Performs medication pass as needed.
