Job summary

Chantilly Heights Memory Care in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to support residents with memory impairment. You'll work with nursing and care teams to administer medications, document accurately, and help create a calm, dignified environment.

Ideal candidates hold Virginia Medication Aide/Technician credentials, while prior senior living or memory care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Medication Aide/Medication Technician credentials as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Previous senior living, assisted living, or memory care experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to physician orders, resident care plans, and applicable regulations
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain appropriate medication records
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or concerns to the appropriate team member
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care as needed
• Provide reassurance, redirection, and compassionate support to residents living with memory impairment
• Respond promptly and respectfully to resident needs
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other members of the care team
• Follow medication management procedures, infection-control practices, and community safety standards
• Help create a calm, comfortable, and engaging environment for our residents
• Treat every resident with patience, dignity, and respect
