Silverado Newport Mesa, a memory care innovator, is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff. This role blends hands-on work with attention to detail and a heart for service.

You will operate under the Director of Plant Operations, perform general maintenance, inspections, and preventative tasks, and help ensure a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in hospital, institutional, or multi-unit residential settings.
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
• Comfortable around animals and pets.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the community in excellent condition.
• Support safety, cleanliness, and functionality across all areas of the property.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations.
• Assist with repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
