Atria Senior Living invites applications for dedicated Life Guidance/activities roles across its U.S. communities. You will create engaging programs, greet residents, and support celebrations, holidays, and daily living activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years prior experience with adults in activities/education.
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy methods and their application to activity needs.
• Certifications required per state regulations.
• Ability to work varying schedules and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned Life Guidance programs and develops service plans.
• Provides diverse recreational activities with supervision for each activity.
• Involves Life Guidance staff in planning and daily program implementation.
• Plans individual birthday celebrations for residents.
• Develops programs for residents, including those confined to rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents to participate in programs.
• Greets new residents and helps integrate them into the community.
• Plans parties/activities and decorates the community by season/holiday.
• Supports census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• Assists in coordinating volunteers for activities.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
