Job summary

Carlton Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Lead Server to support meal service for residents in our memory care dining area. You will act as the primary liaison between memory care and the main kitchen, plate and serve meals, and ensure dietary guidelines are followed with a resident-centered hospitality approach.

Candidates should have experience in dining service or hospitality, and knowledge of food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior dining service, food handling or hospitality experience required.
• Experience in senior living and/or memory care preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations preferred.
• Strong math, technical and reasoning skills for essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between memory care and main kitchen.
• Assist with the flow of food and meals from the main kitchen to memory care dining areas.
• Plate and serve meals to residents following dietary guidelines and care plans.
• Coordinate daily refreshments for residents.
• Manage dining service operations during meals with resident-centered hospitality.
• Record food temperatures and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Conduct inventory checks and maintain stock levels.
• Communicate supply needs to the Dining Room Manager.
• Label, store and handle food items per sanitation standards.
• Report meal counts and dietary changes to the Dining Manager and culinary team.
• Attend PAC and GEM training to assist residents living with dementia.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Observe Residents Rights and report concerns per policy.

What we are hiring for

Schedule Sunday Tuesday Starting Salary Range 1750 1850

What Youll Do

• Act as the primary point of contact between memory care and main kitchen
• Assist with the flow of food and meals from the main kitchen to memory care dining areas
• Plate and serve meals to residents in accordance with dietary guidelines care plans and special diet requirements
• Coordinate and facilitate daily refreshments for residents
• Independently manage all dining service operations during meal periods ensuring efficiency and resident centered hospitality
• Record food temperature and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain stock levels accordingly
• Assist with inventory control and communicate supply needs to the Dining Room Manager
• Ensure all food items are properly labeled stored and handled in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
• Report meal counts dietary changes preferences and special diet needs to the Dining Manager and culinary team
• Attend Positive Approach to Care PAC and GEM States training to develop skills that support residents living with dementia and apply these approaches during meal service
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect residents staff and self
• Act as a resource and problem solver for current residents guests family and staff
• Observe Residents Rights as posted within the facility to include any updates thereto
• Mandated reporting if you suspect any verbal physical emotional financial or neglectful treatment toward a resident or staff member report it to your supervisor immediately

Qualifications

• Minimum of some high school education or GED preferred but not required
• Prior experience in dining service food handling or hospitality required
• Experience in senior living andor memory care preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations preferred
• Reasonable expectations of mathematical technical and reasoning skills to perform essential job responsibilities
