Job summary

Cardinal Landing Memory Care in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents and staff. You will clean resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily and follow facility policies.

Candidates should have reliable organizational and time-management skills, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and carry out duties with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach and sit for long periods.
• Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
• Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to community policy while maintaining resident privacy and respecting their property
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
• Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others
• Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals, referring to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions
• Keep all chemicals and cleaning supplies in their original containers, ask supervisor if unsure about usage
• Monitor the workplace for safety and fire hazards and correct or report potential problem
• Report housekeeping and maintenance problems, including equipment breakdowns, to the supervisor
• Secure housekeeping supplies so that residents are unable to access
