Job summary

Ivy Park at Los Gatos, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks an Activity Coordinator for Memory Care. This full-time role runs Tuesday–Saturday, 9am–5:30pm, with a pay range of $21–$22 per hour. You will plan and lead activities to enrich residents’ lives within a supportive, values-driven environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), 18+ years old, and preferred one year of senior activity experience. MS Office proficiency and a valid driver’s license are desired.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the secured Traditions area. Promoting resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other such activities.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
