Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Memory Care Program Coordinator at Allisonville Meadows on-site. This role develops, coordinates, and supports person-centered programming for residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, partnering with interdisciplinary teams to promote meaningful engagement and uphold the standards of the Memory Care Program.

Experience working with dementia in long-term care and a bachelor’s degree in a related field are preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Psychology, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Experience with residents living with Alzheimer's or other dementias in long-term care settings is required.
• Memory Care, Social Services, or Activities & Recreation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and support person-centered programming for residents with dementia.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, activities, leadership and regulatory teams.
• Educate staff through formal training and one-on-one coaching on dementia care principles.
• Promote meaningful engagement and improve resident quality of life.
