Job summary

Cogir Revere Memory Care in Millbrae is seeking a Memory Care Director to oversee care delivery for residents with dementia. You will train and supervise care partners, coordinate care plans, and maintain clear communication with families and the broader Lifestyle team to ensure programs meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

The role requires 3–5 years in assisted living/memory care, 2 years in a supervisory capacity, and proficiency with Excel/Word.

Qualifications

• Degree in gerontology, nursing, social work or related field preferred.
• CDP certification preferred or equivalent dementia training.
• Meet state requirements for ADL care and medication administration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise memory care staff, coaching on Cogir standards.
• Recruit, supervise, and schedule care staff per policies.
• Maintain medication program under Health and Wellness oversight.
• Assist in assessments/reassessments of residents per policy.
• Act as contact for non-clinical resident care issues.
• Maintain high resident satisfaction with quality service.
• Keep resident records and charting current.
• Support Signature Lifestyle programming with the Lifestyles team.
• Assist with distressed behavior through non-pharmacologic care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to families dealing with dementia.
• Understand regulatory requirements at state and local levels.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain policies, procedures and licenses per requirements.
