Job summary

Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community on James Island is seeking a Full Time CNA or Nursing Assistant for Memory Care on a 7am-3pm shift. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with ADLs, and help residents maintain independence.

As a not-for-profit, faith-based community affiliated with the Episcopal Church, you will join a dedicated interdisciplinary team and enjoy benefits, training, and growth in a resident-centered environment near Charleston.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Nurse’s Aide listed on SC Nurse Aide registry with active certification or prior long-term care experience.
• Active CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic care for residents, promoting independence.
• Provide personal care for residents and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist residents and Activity Coordinator during activities.
• Assist residents with dining and in-room dining service.
• Encourage resident independence and optimal functioning.
• Take and relay reports on residents’ condition at shift changes.
• Observe changes in resident condition and report to supervisor.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement the care plan.
• Launder and iron residents’ personal items as needed.
• Adhere to attendance, scheduling, safety policies, and resident rights.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.

Education
