Job summary

St. Peters Health Partners seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy, NY.

The role supports memory care and long-term residents, performing essential daily care, hygiene, feeding, and mobility tasks under RN/LPN supervision. Responsibilities include documenting vitals, maintaining safety, and delivering compassionate, resident-centered care while upholding the residents' rights.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in New York State.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relay information about a resident's condition.
• Patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm in assisting residents.
• Ability to work professionally with staff, residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing personnel in providing basic care for residents.
• Carry out assignments safely, appropriately and promptly.
• Maintain standards of Nursing Care under RN/LPN guidance.
• Follow work assignments and schedules.
• Create a warm, caring atmosphere and calm environment.
• Provide resident care including hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document vital signs and weights as instructed.
• Maintain safety measures and resident Bill of Rights.
• Attend training and maintain resident care confidentiality.
