Job summary

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident care and assist with activities of daily living. You will help with meals, hygiene, mobility, and comfort, while monitoring vital signs and documenting intake and output.

Compliance with HIPAA and professional standards is essential. This role requires current CNA certification, CPR, and English proficiency; long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assist with personal hygiene including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves; help travel to bathroom and showers.
• Assist in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; record intake and output.
• Provide resident comfort; respond to call lights and requests; report observations to nursing supervisor.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines.
• Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws including JCAHO.
• Update job knowledge by educational activities and maintaining licensure; perform other duties as assigned.
