Job summary

Merrill Gardens at Tukwila is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide respectful, personalized care for residents in a Montessori-Inspired Memory Care Community supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and promoting dignity and independence through meaningful, hands-on engagement.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed. (Chart by exception)

Education

CNA license

Two years caregiver experience

First aid/CPR certification within 30 days

Sunday through Monday, 6:00am to 2:30pm

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
