Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to organize and implement programs meeting the needs of residents in Concord, NH. You will support the Activity Director and help promote self-esteem in a caring environment.

The role requires leading activities, coordinating schedules, and maintaining confidentiality while ensuring residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are addressed on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of recreational activities.
• Understanding of aging and disability issues.
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding residents and staff.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a seven-day-a-week activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group, and large group activities as scheduled.
• Encourage independent activity pursuits and participation in programs.
• Support residents' abilities, viewing care as activity in daily life.
• Know residents' backgrounds, abilities, interests, and cognitive needs.
• Encourage residents to attend and participate in programming.
