Job summary

You will coordinate transportation, expand volunteer programs, assist with monthly newsletters and weekly calendars, and help operate the residence store, while supporting daily activities and attending training sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in recreational therapy or related field preferred; gerontology experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with limited moving violations as per insurer.
• Able to lift 15 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Effective English communication, both oral and written.
• Proficient with basic office software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing residence activities.
• Develop suggestions to improve and expand the Activities Program.
• Maintain a professional, warm, caring relationship with residents and families.
• Arrange transportation and escorts for residents to outside activities.
• Assist with maintaining and expanding Volunteer Programs.
• Assist residents with operating the residence store and maintaining supplies per budget.
• Assist residents to and from activities and events.
• Assist with monthly newsletters and weekly calendars.
• Attend required in-service training and orientation.
• Drive residents in the van as needed.
• Perform dual tasks and work independently.
