Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Activity Assistant for Adelaide of Newton Centre in Newton, MA. The role focuses on planning and leading activities that meet residents’ physical, cognitive and emotional needs within a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities include implementing group programs, supporting the Activity Director, and communicating resident changes while maintaining confidentiality and a positive, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aging and disability issues; experience developing elder activity programs.
• Ability to coordinate activities and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Understanding of Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one, small group and large group activities per the schedule.
• Develop and implement a seven-day activity program that is engaging.
• Encourage resident participation and monitor changes in condition or behavior.
