Job summary

Heritage Senior Living in West Allis, WI is seeking a compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant (Part-Time) to design and lead person-centered activities for Memory Care residents living with dementia.

Under the Life Enrichment Director, you will deliver engaging daily programs, build one-on-one connections, monitor mood, and collaborate with nursing staff and families to promote comfort, dignity, and joyful engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Memory Care or dementia care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of person-centered dementia care practices.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must complete pre-employment screenings and state/federal training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with dementia-specific activities designed for Memory Care residents.
• Develop and adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical needs.
• Build one-on-one relationships through individual visits and engagement.
• Provide sensory stimulation, music, reminiscence, and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor mood and behavior, and communicate concerns to nursing staff.
• Document resident participation in activities and assist with community outings and events.
