Job summary

Heritage Senior Living in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to design and lead engaging activities for Memory Care residents. You will create person-centered programs that promote comfort, engagement, dignity, and joy, working closely with the Life Enrichment Director and caregiving team.

The ideal candidate has experience with dementia care, strong communication, and a patient, creative approach. A High School diploma or GED is required; CNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Memory Care or dementia care experience preferred.
• English reading/writing and effective communication required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and plan person-centered activities for residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
• Utilize dementia-specific programming techniques to promote engagement and reduce anxiety.
• Build meaningful one-on-one relationships through individualized visits and purposeful engagement.
• Adapt activities to accommodate cognitive and physical abilities while celebrating remaining strengths.
• Provide sensory, music, reminiscence, life skills, exercise, and therapeutic activities for wellbeing.
• Document resident participation and responses in the care system and with the team.
