Job summary

Maple View Memory Care in Fargo, ND seeks a part-time memory care activities aide to design and lead daily experiences that bring comfort, stimulation, and joy to residents living with dementia. You will plan reminiscence sessions, music and art activities, light exercise, and sensory experiences tailored to varied cognitive abilities.

You'll collaborate with nursing staff, document resident involvement, and help maintain welcoming activity spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in senior care or memory care valued but not required.
• Comfort working with older adults who have dementia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents.
• Availability for part-time hours, including some weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and lead activities that support cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being.
• Adapt programming for varying memory care needs and abilities.
• Encourage participation with warmth and respect for dignity.
• Document resident involvement and note mood or changes for care updates.
• Set up and clean activity spaces, manage supplies, and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Escort residents to activities and provide supportive supervision.
• Collaborate with nursing/care staff to align activities with each resident's plan.
