Job summary

American Senior Communities in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Memory Care Activities Assistant to bring heart, compassion, and energy to our residents in a memory care setting. You will lead engaging activities, support daily routines, and collaborate with care teams to enhance residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities include planning activities, onboarding new staff, and coordinating with volunteers to broaden the program.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with geriatric population preferred.
• CNA certification preferred; open to pursuing CNA within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and train new teammates as a positive, supportive colleague.
• Encourage residents to participate in daily activities to support physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Motivate residents to take an active part in their own health and wellness.
• Organize and participate in activity programs tailored to residents' backgrounds and interests.
• Recruit, train, and recognize volunteers to expand the activity program and maximize resident participation.
