Job summary

Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, MD is seeking an Activities Assistant/Aide to support residents through planned programs and social engagement. You will assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating recreational activities aligned with each resident’s service plan, under supervision.

This full-time evening shift role offers a 11:30am–8:00pm schedule on Sundays through Thursdays or Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience with elderly residents preferred but not required.
• Must be a supportive team member and contribute to team work.
• Must be willing to seek out new methods and be willing to incorporate them.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one visitation and in-room activities for residents.
• Encourages participation in everyday programs.
• Transports residents to activities as needed.
• Maintains activity area in good order before/after sessions.
• Provides library services and reading materials for residents.
• Assists in planning monthly calendar and events.
