Job summary

GEMSTONE SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY in Shadowlake, Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to lead our Life Enrichment program, designing joyful, safe, and person-centered activities for every guest, including those in memory care.

You will plan a full calendar of social, recreational, physical, cognitive, and spiritual activities, coordinate volunteers and events, and ensure proper care planning alignment.

• Experience with seniors, dementia care, or assisted living.
• Creativity and flexibility to adapt programming for varying abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead a full calendar of social, recreational, physical, cognitive, sensory, and spiritual activities.
• Personalize programming for guests of all abilities, including memory care.
• Modify programming for dementia, mobility, and behavioral needs.
• Design individualized options for guests unable to participate in groups.
• Coordinate volunteers, entertainers, and family events.
• Partner with Wellness team to align activities with care plans.
• Maintain audit-ready participation documentation.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budgets responsibly.
