Job summary

Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland, is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant/Aide for full-time hours to support planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs for residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be certified or willing to become certified in First Aid.
• Experience with elderly residents preferred but not required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-on-one visitation and in-room activities for residents.
• Encourages participation in daily programs and activities.
• Transports residents to activities using Fahrney-Keedy vehicles.
• Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs.
• Maintains safety and order of activity spaces.
• Assists with decorations and events for parties and celebrations.
• Documents resident participation and progress as required.

Education
