Job summary

Ocean Meadow Senior Living seeks an Assistant Activities Coordinator to support the Activities Director in designing and delivering a range of therapeutic activities for memory care residents.

You will lead group and individual activities, adapting plans to residents’ cognitive and physical needs, and foster a warm, inclusive environment while collaborating with caregivers, nurses, and therapists.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and leading memory-care activities is preferred.
• Ability to engage residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease with empathy.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing activities including music and art therapy, sensory stimulation, and light exercise.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to build schedules promoting cognitive and social engagement.
• Lead group activities and provide supportive one-on-one interactions with residents.
• Document participation and outcomes; support evaluation and reporting.
