Job summary

Brighton Bay Center for Rehabilitation & Healing in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring a Full-time Activities Aide. The role assists the Activity Director in planning and conducting activities to enhance residents’ quality of life, especially memory care, with duties including calendar prep, decorating, and coordinating volunteers.

The position requires ability to pass background/drug screening and to drive a 12‑passenger bus (CDL not needed).

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior experience in planning and implementing group and individual activities preferred.
• Prior experience working with senior adults and seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease preferred.
• Willingness to drive a 12 passenger bus (CDL not needed).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning, organizing and conducting activities and programs for residents.
• Help maintain or increase residents’ quality of life and independence.
• Assist in preparing the monthly activity calendar and decorate the community for seasons/holidays.
• Work independently and follow the scheduled activity plan.
• Recruit volunteers to aid the activities program.
• Work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays.
