Summary:
The Memory Care Activities Coordinator is responsible for managing all memory care programming, ensuring resident engagement, supporting families, and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures, Morningside House Standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assist marketing with community tours and provide excellent customer service
- Stay updated on dementia care developments and attend relevant training
- Manage programming staff, including recruitment, onboarding, and training
- Develop individualized programming for residents based on their needs and abilities
- Create monthly Life Enhancement Programming Calendars
- Coordinate special events and family support activities
- Serve as liaison with families and manage health and wellness issues in the secured unit
- Maintain high resident and family satisfaction
- Establish community contacts and communicate with families regularly
- Assist with memory care leads for sales and marketing
- Order and maintain programming supplies
- Participate in departmental, resident, and family meetings
- Assist with programming audits
- Collaborate with Memory Care and Life Enrichment Directors and staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory or management experience in a personal care or assisted living setting
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
