Qualifications

  • Memory technologies such as DRAM and NAND; understanding of device physics.
  • Advanced degree (M.S./ Ph.D) in Materials Science, Electrical/Chemical Engineering or Physics is required.
  • 5+ years in semiconductor processing as lead process integration or device engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Understand memory technology roadmaps and implications for Applied Materials.
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical and engineering teams to identify future challenges.
  • Translate technology inflections into process equipment requirements.
  • Support integration demos, IP development, and collateral creation.
  • Gather data, analyze customer/competitor strategies and market trends.
  • Assist in nodal sizing, forecasting, and market share analysis for business units.
  • Monitor tech and end-user trends affecting demand and new markets.
  • Track competitors by segment and aid in prioritizing opportunities.

The Varian Business Unit is responsible for developing solutions to address customer challenges in implant, patterning, packaging and photonics applications. The incumbent will play a key role in the organization serving both internal and external customers.
