Job summary

WHYY is seeking a Digital Membership & Engagement Specialist to develop and execute coordinated digital communications across email, SMS, newsletters, and other channels. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, nonprofit management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in digital membership, fundraising, or audience engagement.
• Experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Shape digital membership, fundraising, stewardship and audience engagement strategies and campaign plans.
• Execute coordinated digital communications across email, SMS, newsletters, and social platforms.
• Write, edit, segment, test, schedule, deploy, and document digital communications.
• Support lifecycle activities: acquisition, onboarding, renewal, retention, upgrades and sustained giving.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to create cohesive audience experiences.
• Monitor outcomes with performance data and recommend segmentation and workflow improvements.
