Job summary

Katz JCC in New Jersey seeks a Membership Director to build belonging, drive membership growth, and expand revenue through strategic programs and outreach. The role leads the Membership team, guides budgets, and partners with local organizations to raise visibility of the JCC’s offerings.

The director will supervise the Membership Operations team, design onboarding, and implement initiatives to retain and re-engage members while enhancing the overall member experience on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration.
• 5+ years’ experience in sales, customer engagement and management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using CRM software for prospect and member journeys.

Responsibilities

• Enhance sense of community through relationships, branding, and strategy.
• Recruit new members through strategic campaigns and retention programs.
• Extend outreach to local businesses and residents.
• Supervise Membership team and related roles.
• Oversee membership budget with finance.
• Develop commission-based sales incentives.
• Design staff onboarding and ongoing training.
• Analyze membership data and report to exec team.
• Collaborate with departments to improve member experience.
