IAACU, headquartered in Bloomington, IL, is seeking a friendly teller and member service professional to join our team. You’ll act as a primary contact for members, handling phone, email, and digital inquiries while delivering accurate information about accounts, loans, and online banking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for members across phone, email, and digital channels.

• Provide back-up coverage for tellers and support for card operations as needed.
• Assist lending with loan applications and rate quotes.
• Maintain knowledge of products, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responds to member inquiries, resolves issues, processes requests, and provides information about credit union products and services in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.How does this role make an impact?Provides excellent member service by responding to inquiries and requests in a professional, courteous, efficient, and member-focused manner across all communication channels.Researches, resolves, and follows up on member questions, concerns, and account-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution while fostering member satisfaction and loyalty.Identifies financial needs and proactively recommends appropriate credit union products and services, contributing to member satisfaction, relationship growth, and achievement of individual, department, and organizational goals.Processes a variety of member transactions accurately and efficiently, including account transfers, loan payments, credit card payments, and other account servicing requests.Serves as primary point of contact for digital banking and e-commerce services, assisting members with online and mobile banking, electronic transactions, bill pay, remote deposit services, account access, and related support needs.Provides backup coverage for tellers and member experience team, and support for plastic card operations, as needed.Assists with lending activities by accepting loan applications, providing product information and rate quotes.Maintains comprehensive knowledge of credit union products, services, systems, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate member assistance and effective problem resolution.Assists in fraud prevention and mitigation efforts by identifying suspicious activity, adhering to established procedures, escalating potential fraud concerns, and helping protect member accounts and credit union assets.Do you have what we're looking for?Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for building relationships and helping members achieve their financial goals.Ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate financial products and services.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask effectively, including researching and resolving member questions while assisting them in real time.Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and data processing platforms.Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with accuracy and professionalism.Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of teller and/or new accounts experience.Ability to work Saturdays as scheduled.Base Pay Range:$34,800-$47,850The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired.
