Qualifications

• Level I requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Level II requires prior experience in collections or member service at a financial institution.
• Senior Level requires the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Manage share and loan collection queues in line with procedures and laws.
• Assist members to resolve negative balances and delinquent loan payments via outreach or calls.
• Recommend charge-offs for negative shares and delinquent loans and discuss repossession of collateral.
• Address escalated member situations and document all collection efforts.
• Collaborate with Recovery to determine next steps in collections process.
• Perform daily balancing of financial transactions.
