Job summary

Educators Credit Union in Milwaukee is seeking a friendly teller to serve members with financial transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, while following our core values of honesty, integrity, fairness, respect and excellence.

You will help members with routine information, educate them about credit union products, balance cash drawer daily, and keep accurate member records. Availability to work Saturdays is required; hours vary.

Qualifications

• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential.
• Involves frequent personal contact with others for information exchange.
• Bilingual Spanish or Hmong is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional service experience to members while assisting them with their financial transactions.
• Follow our core values (honesty, integrity, fairness, respect and excellence) in all actions with members and coworkers.
• Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
• Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services. Direct members to appropriate departments for specific information and services. Educate and advise members regarding credit union products and services.
• Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records.
• Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.
• Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks, including typing, filing, computer input, and answering the telephone.
• Other duties as assigned.
