Job description

Position: Member Services Rep - Part Time - Weekend/Evening

We are seeking a motivated Member Services Representative to join our team! As a staff member, you will provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” experience. BILINGUAL English/Spanish applicants are encouraged!

Responsibilities include:

1. Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:
   • Greet members and guests, providing exceptional service and making everyone feel welcome.
   • Answer phones politely and assist callers with inquiries.
   • Check members in, give tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
   • Respond promptly and professionally to member questions and concerns.
   • Process beverage or merchandise purchases via POS system.
   • Use POS to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing questions.
2. Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
   • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and lobby.
   • Perform regular cleaning and upkeep, including mopping, trash removal, window and mirror cleaning, and re-racking weights.
   • Clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds regularly.
   • Keep restrooms and wet areas clean and stocked.
3. Qualifications & Requirements:
   • Applicants for overnight positions must pass a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire; employment depends on satisfactory results.
   • Exceptional customer service skills, with a positive and professional demeanor.
   • Prior customer service experience preferred.
   • Must be 18 or older.
   • High School diploma or GED required.
   • Upbeat, positive, and professional attitude.
   • Punctuality and reliability are essential.
   • Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification as required, and be physically capable of performing CPR in emergencies.
4. Physical Demands/Requirements:
   • Ability to walk, stand, and perform physical activities for prolonged periods.
   • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
   • Maintain communication via in-person or phone during shifts.
   • Maintain the physical ability to administer CPR if needed.
   • Good vision and hearing, with or without correction.
