Job summary

Capital Credit Union seeks an attentive Member Services professional to greet members in person and by phone, open new accounts, and explain products, including loans and debit cards, with a focus on service and accuracy.

You will educate members on Home Banking, E-Services, and other offerings, process transactions, maintain accounts, assist in training staff, and may handle teller duties as needed in a busy branch environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed instructions and memos.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and be listed on required registries.
• Operate on-line computer terminals, word processing, email, and standard office equipment.
• Knowledge of products and procedures to process transactions accurately.
• Concentration and accuracy with documentation; high degree of attention to detail.
• Analytical ability to resolve member issues and determine actions.
• Strong communication/listening skills to handle diverse members calmly and effectively.
• Independent judgment aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Receive members in person and by telephone and meet their needs in consumer lending and new accounts.
• Promote Credit Union products and services with a member advocacy approach.
• Educate members about Home Banking, E-Services, and other offerings.
• Process transactions and maintain accounts accurately in the system.
• Open/close branch and assist in training new employees when needed.
• May handle teller functions and assist other branches as required.
