Job summary

The Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA is hiring a Member Services Associate to welcome members, answer questions, promote memberships and programs, and create a positive, inclusive front-desk experience.

This role supports opening, closing and securing facilities, handles payments, and helps connect members with volunteers and activities while delivering friendly service over the phone. Opportunities include training, flexible scheduling, and YMCA benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience preferred.
• Ability to handle monetary transactions accurately and properly.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities with strong organization.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn YMCA software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member and guest needs and promote memberships and programs.
• Opens, closes, and secures the YMCA building(s).
• Hand out locker keys and towels; monitor locker rooms as required.
• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants.
• Registers/sells and accepts payments for programs and memberships.
• Develops relationships with volunteers and members to connect them with the Y.
• Handles membership-related concerns and informs supervisor of issues.
• Completes data entry for close outs and deposits accurately.
