Job summary

The YMCA of Greenville is seeking a Part-time Member Services Associate II to deliver excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, respond to needs, and promote memberships and programs. This role requires afternoon and weekend availability Monday through Friday 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with some weekend hours.

You will handle member concerns, assist with registrations, and operate front desk systems, while upholding YMCA policies and contributing to a welcoming, mission-driven

Qualifications

• One year customer service/public relations experience.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• May be required to serve as Manager on Duty as requested by upper management.
• Conducts interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sell memberships and programs; provide information of facility and programs to inquiring members.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
• Registers and receipts monies for memberships and program participants.
• Utilizes Y computers with skill and proficiency.
• Develops ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality work environment.
• Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
• Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
• Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
• Follow mandated reporting requirements
• Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities
• Front Desk Personnel- ensure consumers are properly signed in and out, ensure only authorized adults are allowed in the facility, etc.
