Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Part-Time MSR Desk Clerk at the Dayton Kroc Center to be the first point of contact for visitors. You will greet guests, process memberships and program fees, handle cashier responsibilities, and answer calls with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include guiding patrons, maintaining sign-in procedures, managing materials, and collaborating with campus staff to support events and programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Must have cashiering experience and be able to properly count money.
• Must have computer skills to learn/operate systems.
• A person of good character.
• Willing to work a variety of schedules as needed.
• Must have good communication skills over the phone and in person.
• Must be able to work well in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet all members and guests as they enter the W&A building; provide directions as required.
• Request guests sign in and follow proper procedure.
• Complete all financial transactions for items sold at the MSR Desk ( memberships, program fees, concessions).
• Explain membership types; assist in selecting the correct plan and explain terms.
• Answer incoming calls (goal: within four rings) and direct to the appropriate person/department.
• Ensure forms, brochures, and flyers are stocked; alert supervisor when stock is needed.
• Enter member contact information accurately; scan paperwork and attach to the membership system.
