Job summary

San Juan College is seeking a Member Services and Operations Coordinator for the Health and Human Performance Center. You will lead frontline staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure excellent member experiences while coordinating facility use and events.

You will hire, train, and supervise staff, resolve member issues, manage financial processes, and maintain the membership database to produce reports for leadership. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Major Duties

• Oversees supervision of day-to-day operations of the HHPC, in support of the Director.
• Coordinates facility usage for college events, community events, and special events.
• Hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, and evaluates facility managers, member services staff, facility aides, and fitness aides.
• Works closely with the coordinators of Health and Wellness Programing and Outdoor Recreation to provide services for students, faculty, staff and community.
• Resolves customer complaints; issues refunds; resolves registration issues and payment problems.
• Coordinates with Business Office to manage financial processes including daily deposits in Transact, credit card reconciliation and associated functions.
• Operates and manages the membership management database system; runs reports as needed; identifies and reports software issues; assists in resolving issues.
• Develops, implements and reviews policies and procedures.
• Oversees corporate accounts, including rates, on-site registration and billing.
• Oversees locker rentals, expiration notices, and cleanout.
• Reviews staff time entry and processes employee time sheets.
• Works flexible schedule as necessary, may include evenings and weekends.
• Performs related duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with an associate's degree. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with two to three years' experience or service.
