Job summary

Simplicity Credit Union in Neillsville, WI is hiring a full-time Member Service Representative (MSR) to provide a friendly atmosphere, perform basic teller transactions, and resolve member questions while promoting products and services.

As part of the front-line Service Team, you will handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, debit cards, and online banking setup, with opportunities to sales through service and earn incentive payouts.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED and 6 months to 2 years of customer service experience required.
• Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
• Friendly and professional representation of the credit union.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic teller services in person, drive-thru, night drop, and mail.
• Identify opportunities to promote additional services to improve members' financial lives (sales through service).
• Process wire transfers, minor option changes, and open savers sweepstakes.
• Ensure accuracy in all transactions and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with departments to promote the credit union's values and mission.

Position Summary

The primary function of aMember Service Representative (MSR)is to provide a positive and friendly atmosphere for our members while conducting basic teller transactions. In addition, this position will provide exceptional service by resolving problems and answering questions covering the entire spectrum of the Credit Union’s products and services as well as provide sales through service to improve the members’ financial lives.

This position is part of our front-line Service Team and always projects a positive and friendly image for the credit union through interactions with members and co-workers. This is a full-time position M-F during business hours at our Neillsville Branch.

• Provide basic teller services to members in person, in the drive-thru, night drop, and mail. These services include cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments, making transfers, resetting member Personal Identification Number (PIN), issuing and redeeming share certificates (CD’s), processing check re-orders, member name changes, adding beneficiaries, issuing debit cards, and online banking set-up and inquires.
• Seeking opportunities to enhance the members’ experience by recognizing and presenting additional services that would improve the members’ financial lives, providing sales through service.
• Process wire transfers, minor option change requests, and open savers sweepstakes.
• Process all transactions with a commitment to accuracy.
• Reinforce continuous collaboration and respectful communication between all departments by promoting strong, positive, and productive working relationships through the commitment to the company’s core values, vision and mission statements.

Requirements

• High school education or GED and 6 months to 2 years of customer service experience required.
• A high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations, even under pressure.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be friendly and able to represent the credit union in a professional and positive manner.
• Able to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
• Service-oriented; a team player.
• Believes in own capabilities and knowledge to affect positive outcomes and even succeed where others may not and demonstrates that attitude in performing day-to-day activities.

Compensation:

Starting base pay of$16.50 per hour based on experience, with earning potential of up to $25.00 per hour.

*The final offer will be based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.

This position is also eligible for aquarterly incentivepayout as well as a yearly company performance bonus payout.
