FAIRWINDS Credit Union in New Smyrna Beach is seeking a Member Service Representative to welcome members, perform routine teller transactions, educate customers on products, and help them manage finances using mobile and online tools.

This full-time, on-site role starts at $18 per hour with potential to earn $19 per hour in year one, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, health plans, paid time off, and other rewards.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or cash handling is a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members with a friendly attitude and handle routine teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, checks).
• Educate members on FAIRWINDS products and digital tools (mobile/online banking).
• Assist with account inquiries and resolve issues, escalating when needed.
• Maintain balancing standards and branch compliance for transactions.
• Refer members to appropriate teammates for lending or account services.
• Keep teller station and branch organized.
• Participate in coaching to build product knowledge and service skills.

As a Member Service Representative for our New Smyrna Beach branch, you'll be the first step in helping our members live financially free. FAIRWINDS Credit Union offers competitive benefits and a starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with the opportunity to earn $19.00 per hour within your first year!

Your Role in Our Mission:

• Welcome members with a friendly and professional attitude, ensuring every interaction is personal and positive.
• Perform routine teller transactions with accuracy and efficiency, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
• Educate members on FAIRWINDS products, services, and digital tools such as mobile and online banking, helping them manage their finances more conveniently.
• Assist members with account questions, service issues, and general inquiries, escalating as needed to resolve concerns quickly.
• Maintain balancing standards and operational compliance for all transactions.
• Support branch goals by identifying member needs and referring them to appropriate teammates for lending, account services, or investment solutions.
• Maintain the appearance and organization of your teller station and the branch environment.
• Participate in individual and team coaching sessions to build product knowledge and improve member service skills.
