Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist members with loan and credit card applications, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate.
• Process and disburse loan proceeds, scheduling closings with members.
• Complete month-end reporting and ensure compliance with internal standards.
• Help members open and close accounts, including investments and IRA accounts.
• Conduct checks such as SSN verification to prevent fraud and outstanding balances.
• Serve as a liaison between members and departments, ensuring clear communication.
• Process and authenticate deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wires, and more.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for Credit Union products and services to enhance member engagement.
• Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, equipment maintenance, and answering phones.
• Register and participate in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required.
• Provide notary services (if applicable) in compliance with state regulations.
• Act as the Membership Officer, supporting high levels of member satisfaction.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Experience:Up to 3years of related experience in a financial or banking environment.
• Education:High school diploma or GED required.
• Interpersonal Skills:Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with members and colleagues.
• Technical Skills:Knowledge of BSA/OFAC compliance, with the ability to assist members with related inquiries.
• Certifications:Must be willing to register and participate in NMLS, and Notary Public certification may be required.
• Miscellaneous:Must complete annual BSA training and maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
